Ffynnonau lies on a hillside high above the Taf valley, providing breathtaking views
across the estuary toward Dylan Thomas's village of Laugharne and upriver toward the
Preselli Mountains.
During each season the constantly changing light, and the rise
and fall of the tide, provide an ever shifting landscape that will be a source of
interest and pleasure throughout your stay. In the foreground, three hundred feet
below the farmhouse, is a typical Welsh hillside farm with sheep and cattle grazing
the land.
And always in the background is the wide river valley, illuminated by a
ribbon of water which reflects the sky. At low tide it winds serpentine between wide,
sandy, salt-marsh flats; at high tide it is a broad and impressive flood.
